Funeral services for Mrs. Virlina P. Clay, 60, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held March 15, 2014 at 11:00am from Zion Baptist Church in Vidalia. Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery.

Mrs. Clay, daughter of Ritho and Dorothy Drumgold Portis was born in Jackson , MS and died at Methoist Sugarland Hospital in Sugarland, TX. She was a nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Dike and her husband, Eben, of Sugarland; Sonja N. Warner and Sherrice Johnson both of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Gregory Portis and his wife, Tanya, of Vidalia; three sisters, Rosamond P. Robinson of Vidalia; Elaine Griffin and her husband, Kelton, of Upper Marlboro, MD; Jacqueline P. Williams and her husband, George, of Missouri City, TX; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one aunt, Mary Alice Vaughn of Chicago, IL. And a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ritho Portis,Jr.
