Funeral services for Wilbert Hampton, 73, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00am from the Old Daughters Baptist Church in Wildsville, LA. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Hampton, son of Fulton Wilkerson and Margaret Hampton, was born in Pineville, LA and died at his residence.

He will be missed and fondly remembered by his children, Joey Allen, Andrea Necole Robinson both of Ferriday; Wilbert Robinson of Indianapolis, IN; Betty Johnson of California and Portia Wilkerson of Chicago, IL; one brother, Derrick Wilkerson (Jean) of Monroe, LA. In addition to three children,   he raised as his own, Desmond, Anthony and Marcus  (Sherrie) Washington all of Ferriday

Also a number of aunts, uncles, two nieces and two nephews and his long -term friend, Linda Washington.
