Funeral services for William Earl Burton, 65, of Ferriday, LA foemerly of McNeil, AR will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Concordia Funeral Home. Interment will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 at 12:30 PM at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Burton, son of Jessie James and Christen Ferguson Burton, was born in McNeil, AR and died at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War era from September 23, 1971 to September 21, 1973, earning an honorable discharge. He was a retired crane operator.

He is survived by his wife, Pearlie Wills Burton of Ferriday; one daughter, Ashley Burton of McNeil, AR; his step children, Herman Atkins of Valdosta, GA; Gerald D. Thomas, Frederica Studamire and her husband, Michael of Dallas, TX. Also two brothers, James Burton and Edward Burton both of Little Rock, AR and a number of step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Burton is preceded in death by his parents and his  one son, Brian Burton.
