Funeral services William Bailey, Sr., 88, of Montgomery, AL formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00am from Zion Baptist Church in Vidalia with Pastor Johnny Elery officiating. The family repast will be held at the Vidalia Convention Center immediately after the funeral services. Burial will be held at the Hawkins Cemetery in Barlow, MS. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to7pm at the funeral home and Saturday morning from 10:00am to service time at the church.

Mr. Bailey, third oldest of nine children was the son of Charlie and Beatrice Bailey. He was retired from International Paper Mill after thirty six years of services.

He is preceded in death by his wife of forty five years, Elizabeth Frazier Bailey; his parents; four brother, O. C. Bailey, Bobby Bailey, Charles Bailey and Jimmy Bailey; two sisters, Mary Shannon and Robbie Covington.

He is survive by his daughters, Brenda (Anthony) Smith; Carrie Austin, Burteal Frazier; his sons, William (Sandra) Bailey, Jr.; Cleveland (Darlette) Bailey; Lawrence Frazier; sisters, Velma Smith, Mattie (Earl) Black; sister-in-law, Johnny M. Bailey; brother-in-law, James Lee Ivory; grandchildren, Shelia (Fred) Baldwin; Sharon (Winston) Ardoin; Kirsten Smith, Cleveland Bailey, Jr., Allison Smith, William Bailey, Jaslyn Bailey; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Lyles, Ashley Baldwin, Damien Baldwin; one great-great grandchild, Caleb Lyles; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and many beloved friends.
