Services for Willie Nix, Sr., 87, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00am from St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton, LA. Burial will follow at the St. James Church Cemetery in Frogmore, LA with Pastor Johnathan Bates officiating.

Mr. Nix son of Jimmy and Annie Nix was born in Fayette, LA and died at Camelot Leisure Living Home in Ferriday. He was a farmer.

His survivors are: one son, Willie Nix, Jr.; one daughter, Rosie Mae Nix both of Clayton, LA; one brother, Roger Nix of Jackson, MS; seventeen grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rosie Lee Nix; one son, Mack Nix and one step-son, Eathan Reed.
