Funeral services for Mrs. Yvonne Barnes, 62, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of St. Joseph, LA will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:00pm from Concordia Funeral Home with the Rev. Dandridge Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA.

Mrs. Barnes, daughter of Leon Barnes and Elvira Sims was born in Tallulah and died at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was a retired correctional officer for Tensas Correctional Prison in Waterproof, LA.

She is survived by her fiancé, Ray Davis of St. Joseph; three daughters, Gloria Minor and her husband, Kelsey; Lori Johnson all of Baton Rouge; Verna Ellis of Vidalia, LA; three brothers, Leon Barnes and Alvin Barnes both of St. Joseph; Calvin Barnes of New Orleans, LA; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Barnes and Peggy Barnes both of St. Joseph; thirteen grandchildren and one aunt.

Preceding her in death are her parents, one son, Darvin Barnes, one daughter, Sarah Turner, two brothers, Charles Barnes and Sylvester, four sisters, Elvira Barnes, Ernestine Davis, Lorraine Barnes and Connie Barnes. Also one grandson, Kelsey Minor, Jr. and one  nephew, Frederick Barnes.
